Corus International Organization Pays Courtesy Call on NaCSA Commissioner...

A delegation from Corus International, a faith-based organisation, visited the Commissioner of the National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA), Ambassador Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. The meeting took place at NaCSA’s headquarters in Freetown.
Commissioner Ndomahina welcomed the delegation on behalf of the Commission and expressed his pleasure in receiving them. He explained that NaCSA collaborates with several partners, including the World Bank, Islamic Development Bank, KFW/the German government, and the Government of Sierra Leone. He highlighted that NaCSA plays a crucial role in implementing government development programs across all 16 districts in the country. *"The Commission significantly contributes to improving schools, health facilities, feeder roads, and various community social infrastructure, which are critical to the aspirations set forth by His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio, the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, who is dedicated to serving his people to the best of his abilities,"* he noted.
Mahmoud Bah, Chief Operating Officer of the Corus International delegation, explained that Corus is a group of international development and aid organizations, including IMA, the World Health Organization, Lutheran World Relief, CFA Technologies, Ground Up Investment, and Farmers Marketing Brands. He stated, *"We are eager to partner and collaborate with NaCSA and other like-minded organizations in both the public and private sectors to develop more innovative and sustainable approaches to addressing development challenges in the subregion. New opportunities must be sought to reshape how development programs are designed."*
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was suggested that further discussions be arranged for NaCSA and Corus International to explore potential partnership opportunities and possibly create products and services that will benefit every Sierra Leonean.
The meeting was attended by NaCSA's Programme Manager, Mr. Momoh Juanah, and Human Resource Manager, Mr. Isaac Jacobs, who both contributed significantly. Corus International was represented by Dr. Denis Cherian, Managing Director of the Technical Business Unit and Global Practice Head; Hamid Mansaray; Nancy Makonde, an Associate; and Muniru Kawa, the Country Lead.
