Ambassador Ndomahina Continues his Engagement with the World Bank on the PSSNYE Project..

The Commissioner of NaCSA, Ambassador Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina continues his engagement with the World Bank on accelerating the implementation of the Productive Social Safety Nets and Youth Employment (PSSNYE) project.


Speaking after the presentation on Financial Management (FM), he assured the World Bank and team of a prudent financial management system. He confirmed that his team will recalibrate competence, systems and processes to ensure that financial management issues are handled promptly. *‘’As part of our rebranding strategy, we are deliberate to increase staff capacity. This is to ensure that we are well positioned to address the challenges. I am very particular and meticulous about the implementation of the PSSNYE project because its hinges on the livelihood of the people we serve. More strategically, is the alignment of the Commissioner interventions with the government’s ‘big five game changer’* Commissioner Ndomahina noted.


He reassured the team of rivaled commitments in ensuring that the project financial management and implementation systems are reenergized.


In partnership with the World Bank (WB), the Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) has made great strides in establishing a robust national social protection system and delivering first-rate social protection services to enhance human capital. Social protection is given top attention by His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio and his government (GoSL). Through the just completed Social Safety Net (SSN) program and other social security initiatives have provided regular cash payments to more than 190,000 severely impoverished households.


The PSSNYE project aims to Improve access to social safety nets and income generating opportunities for 100,000 targeted beneficiaries’ households across all 16 districts.
