The Commissioner for the National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) – Ambassador Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina has on Thursday 19th September 2024 ended an intensive engagement with the Women’s Forum of NaCSA. The Forum has been constituted to bring the voices of women together and to support the Commission in achieving the Government of Sierra Leone’s development framework.
This session with the Commissioner was to ensure that the activities of the Forum are aligned with the mandate of the Commission. This moment set the appropriate space for the Commissioner to increase his rebranding drive at the Commission and by extension amplifying women’s voice and welfare as outline in the Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Act.
In his statement, Ambassador Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina encouraged members of the Forum and all staff of the Commission to join forces together to foster the strategic rebranding effort of the Commission. *‘'my desire is to ensure that the dreams of His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio as outlined in the Medium Term National Development Plan are achieved. In doing this, I need people with shared vision and the commitment to delivery. The Women of NaCSA have constantly demonstrated the will power to support the Commission in its project implementations but for us to continue delivering, we should equally uphold family and moral values. I have an open door policy, you are always welcome to discuss professional matters and things that have the tendency to affect our delivery speed.’’* Ambassador Ndomahina Noted.
On behalf of these noble women of NaCSA, Dr. Susan Robert; the Senior Director for Programme Development and Quality Assurance expressed his deepest appreciation to the Commissioner for repositioning the Commission. *‘’You have note only rebranded the Commission, but the powers you have given to women remain sensational. We are ready and willing to support your desire to achieve the Big Five Game Changers.’’* She ended.
With one mind, with one NaCSA and with one dream, there is a new dawn at NaCSA. A people centric and inclusive development paradigm. *‘’There is only one united NaCSA, the NaCSA we all wanted has been born and we will cherish this new born baby.’’* The women chatted whilst singing songs of praises, betting their hands and feet to the rhythms of renewed hope and the good ambiance set by the Ndomahinalisation process.
