On Sunday, February 2, 2025, Ambassador Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina, the esteemed Commissioner of the National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA), was a distinguished guest at the maiden thanksgiving service of the NaCSA Women’s Forum, held at the beautiful Sacred Heart Cathedral. The event was marked by a theme inspired by a well-known biblical principle: *“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us, your generosity will result in thanksgiving.”* This theme resonated deeply with the spirit of the gathering, emphasizing the importance of gratitude and community support.
The occasion was poignantly highlighted by remarks from Ms. Regina Saffa, the President of the NaCSA Women’s Forum. In her address, she underscored the significance of the thanksgiving service as a moment for NaCSA women to express heartfelt gratitude to God and to all individuals and organizations that have played a pivotal role in empowering women and fostering their contributions to development. *“Today, we gather here at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, not merely to display our elegant regalia but to convey our profound appreciation to God, our supporters, and the resilient women who have supported each other through various struggles,”* she passionately articulated.
Ambassador Ndomahina, on behalf of His Excellency Dr Julius Maada Bio, delivered a stirring message of appreciation to the women of NaCSA and to all women actively engaged in making meaningful contributions toward achieving the transformative objectives outlined in the Big Five Game Changers initiative. He reinforced the government's unwavering commitment to promoting gender equality, enhancing women's economic empowerment, and encouraging women's active participation in political processes.
*“Women are vital in our shared journey to fulfil the aspirations encapsulated in the Medium Term National Development Plan (MTNDP) for 2024 – 2030. Achieving the Big Five is not just a sacred duty; it is an inclusive and people-centric initiative,”* he affirmed with conviction. He went on to highlight the important role of women in the rebranding efforts of NaCSA, proudly noting the remarkable advancements made as a result of the Commission's rebranding strategy, which has allowed for project execution with unprecedented speed, efficiency, and precision. He expressed his profound gratitude for their unwavering support and optimism for a prosperous future for NaCSA.
The service was further enriched by a beautiful choir performance, featuring carefully curated songs that uplifted the spirits of all attendees. The atmosphere was imbued with warmth and joy, complemented by the vibrant hospitality displayed throughout the event.
Dressed in elegant yellow and blue attire, the women, including senior directors and managers, celebrated with joyful dances, reflecting a deep sense of community and shared purpose. The evening culminated in a joyous finale of heartfelt praises, leaving an indelible impression on all who attended.
